Call a Hero Support

Call a Hero is for adults age 18 and older. For help, email vinayanand2@icloud.com.

Before contacting support

Do not include passwords, exact addresses, government identifiers, private photos, medical information, or other sensitive content.

Why is access blocked at startup?

The production app requires Apple’s Declared Age Range to establish a lower bound of at least 18. If you declined sharing or the range does not establish adult status, the app remains locked. Tap Check Again and follow the Apple prompt.

How do I enable the microphone?

Open Favorites, tap the shield button or Safety in the top banner, then open the Microphone section. Tap Allow Microphone. If permission was previously denied, tap Open iPhone Settings and enable Microphone for Call a Hero.

Why will a call not start?

Confirm all of the following:

If App Attest registration or the live service is temporarily unavailable, wait a few minutes and try again.

Is audio saved?

Call a Hero does not intentionally save microphone or hero audio. Audio is streamed to Google Gemini during the live session. Text transcripts may be saved locally on the iPhone.

How do I delete transcripts?

Open the Transcripts tab. Delete an individual transcript or use the option to delete all transcripts. Deleting the app also removes its local data according to iOS behavior.

Where are custom heroes stored?

Profiles and selected photos are stored in the app’s private container. Custom text is sent to Gemini only when needed as context for that custom hero’s live call. Photos are not sent to Gemini.

Supported devices

Build 2 requires iOS 26 or later. Final App Attest and microphone behavior should be tested on a physical iPhone.
